Opening Thursday, May 4th, Rex Ray at Gallery 16 marks the seventh solo exhibition of the artist’s work at Gallery 16 since 1995. This is the first presentation since the artist’s untimely death in 2015.

This retrospective offers a major exhibition of works spanning twenty years of Rex Ray’s prolific career. Artwork never previously displayed—including large scale canvases, prints, and collages—as well as Rex's library style installation of paper collages, entitled Wall of Sound, will be on view at the gallery. Comprised of over 500 cut-paper collages on 8x10 inch sheets, hung end-to-end, Wall of Sound represents eight years of an ongoing project which grew in size between 1996 and 2004.

An opening celebration will be held on Thursday, May 4th from 6 to 9pm to celebrate the work of Rex Ray.  Click here for more info.
